Last Saturday, we had the privilege of attending Dalkeith Arts’ Changing Weather: Climate Stories as Art exhibition. The exhibition brought local stories of climate change and weather shifts to life through incredible artistic interpretations by the very talented members of Dalkeith Arts.

Creative Writing Competition

Calling all writers and poets across Midlothian! Join us for MCAN’s very first Creative Writing Competition!

We are looking for stories that explore you thoughts, feelings and experiences around the climate crisis. They can be based on your own lived experience of weather changes or other effects of climate change, or on your concerns and hopes for the future.

Reflecting on a Year of Growth and Action

As 2024 draws to a close, we look back at an incredible first year and reflect on how much the Hub has grown and accomplished. The Hub began the year with a clear mission: to create a thriving network of community groups and organisations collaborating to tackle the climate and nature crises in Midlothian. From outreach events and climate conversations, to coming together as network to build a shared vision, this year has been about laying strong foundations to achieve this vision.

Climate Stories Pop-ups

Over the past month we’ve been hosting pop-ups to hear your stories and lived experience on how the climate and weather has changed in Midlothian, and talk about what ways you’d like to see Midlothian adapt and become more resilient.
