Central Dalkeith & Woodburn Pantry is a local food initiative where any household in the Central Dalkeith and Woodburn area can sign up to a free membership. The initiative also aims to reduce food waste and encourage food growing at home.

Friends of Roslin Moat aims to promote nature conservation and biodiversity at Roslin Moat Local Biodiversity Site. The group is supported by site owners Midlothian Council and Roslin & Bilston Community Council.

Growing Families is a charity and volunteer-run group that organises groups and activities aimed at supporting families through their parenting journey. They run a community garden at the Link in Loanhead, with outdoor play and gardening sessions.
