Changing Weather: Climate Stories as Art exhibition

Last Saturday, we had the privilege of attending Dalkeith Arts’ Changing Weather: Climate Stories as Art exhibition. The exhibition brought local stories of climate change and weather shifts to life through incredible artistic interpretations by the very talented members of Dalkeith Arts.

The showcase was part of our Climate Ready South East Scotland project, which gathers real-life stories of Midlothian residents about the ways they are already experiencing changes in their local climate and weather. These stories offer insights into the challenges communities are facing and the innovative ways they imagine adapting to a changing climate.

Through their creative talents, Dalkeith Arts has transformed these narratives into stunning works of art, capturing the essence of local experiences and inspiring conversations about the future of our region. This collaboration between local voices and artistic expression is a testament to the power art and storytelling can have in inspiring climate action and a deeper connection to our shared environment.

Below you can see the pieces created, as well as some other works of art exhibited.
