Corra Foundation Racial Equity Fund. Up to £50,000 across 5 years. Unrestricted funding to organisations based in and working in Scotland that are led by, and working with, people from Black and racially minoritised backgrounds. Deadline 29th October.
Corra Foundation You’re Only Young Once Fund. Up to £10,000 for projects supporting children, young people and their families to shape and share experiences, create connections, and to create the conditions where they are empowered to influence participation, policy and practice across Scotland, and can thrive in the future. This fund criteria an application process has been designed by young people. Deadline 31st October.
Edinburgh University Community Grants.Up to £5,000 for projects with a positive social impact for people living in Edinburgh, Lothians, Fife or Scottish Borders. Deadline 31st October.
The Giving Machine Community Grants. £250 unrestricted grants for any UK-based good cause. Deadline 31st October.
The Weir Charitable Trust – Small Awards. Up to a maximum of £25,000 to support Scottish-based community groups and charities to provide services across Scotland to help the Scottish community. Deadline 31st October.
CARES Community Buildings Fund. Provides grants to help community organisations reduce their building’s energy costs and greenhouse gas emissions by funding the installation of renewable technologies like heat pumps, battery storage, and solar photovoltaic panels, as well as some energy efficiency measures. Open until end of October 2025 or funding allocated.
Warburtons Community Grants. Provides small grants up to £400 to support charitable organisations towards broader activities which improve Health, Place or Skills for families in their community. Deadline 4th November.
Edinburgh Airport Community Fund. Up to £7,000 grants available for community groups and charities committed to improving opportunities, facilities, and services available to local people. Next deadline 14th November.
SUEZ Communities Fund for Scotland. Grants between £3,000 and £25,000 distributed through the Scottish Landfill Communities Fund. Through the SUEZ Communities Fund for Scotland, £200,000 is available annually for Land Reclamation, Public Amenities, Biodiversity, and Historic Buildings, Structures or Sites projects. Next closing date 19th November.
Royal Society of Edinburgh – ‘Healthy Planet, Healthy People’: Catalyst Award. Up to £5,000 to support a community-led research project for up to 12 months. Deadline 4th December.
UK Community Tree Planting Grants. International Tree Foundation provides financial support for community tree planting projects, equivalent to £1.95 per tree. In addition, they provide expert consultation, advice for projects that need it, and small maintenance grants to cover tree care in the first two years after planting. The first round of proposal assessments will take place on 3 rd October 2025, with the main round of grants being awarded shortly thereafter. Final application deadline 12th December 2025.
Matthew Good Foundation – Grants for Good Fund. The Fund will share £15,000 between five shortlisted projects from small charities, non-profit groups and social entrepreneurs who are passionate about making a difference for people, their communities, and the environment. Next deadline is 15th December.
Benefact Group – Movement for Good Awards. Nominate a charity to be entered into a £1000 draw. In December, 120 charities will receive a £1,000 grant, spread across 12 days. Deadline to be included for current draw: 15th December 2025.
National Lottery Community Fund – Climate Action Fund – Our Shared Future. Grants of £500,000 to £1.5 million over three to five years are available to local not-for-profit groups and partnerships for community-driven projects. They want to reach people who are new to climate action by funding other types of organisations too. Applications open until at least Spring 2025, but there is a plan to close applications after this. The final deadline will be announced nearer the time. Deadline 17th December.
SUEZ Communities Fund for Scotland. Grants between £3,000 and £25,000 distributed through the Scottish Landfill Communities Fund. Walk, Wheel, Cycle Trust- Love Your Network. Provides equipment for small community-led projects that benefit people and wildlife, on traffic-free sections of the National Cycle
Network in Scotland. February 2026.
Corra Foundation Boost Fund. Up to £3,000 available to constituted groups and charities who support local people affected by poverty or disadvantage with an annual income of £50,000 or less. Deadline March 2026.
The Mushroom Trust. Provides donations up to £5,000 or more for projects protecting and enhancing green spaces in and around Edinburgh, Scotland and beyond. In particular they wish to support projects that enhance the public’s enjoyment and appreciation of green spaces including the horticultural and aesthetic enhancement of green spaces. Next deadline 31st March 2026.
Workplace Charging Scheme for state-funded education institutions. Grant for eligible state-funded education institutes to provide support towards the costs of the purchase, installation and infrastructure of electric vehicle chargepoints. Deadline 31st March 2026.

Cycling UK – Cycle Access Fund. The fund supports those least likely to have access to a bike and provides capital grants to organisations through five different funding strands: Individual Bike Ownership, Shared Use, Recycle, Repair, Cycle Parking and Storage. It allows a wide range of organisations to apply and provides a variety of opportunities for individuals to benefit from the fund. There is no limit to the number of strands organisations can apply to. Ongoing.
Edinburgh University Micro-grant Scheme.Community organisations and charities based in the Edinburgh region can apply for up to £500 through this micro-grant scheme for small scale community activities and local action. Ongoing.
The Cruach Trust. The Cruach Trust is a small Scottish charity, which likes to make a difference with its donations. The Trust provides financial support for the natural environment including gardens, and for community and music-related organisations throughout the United Kingdom.Ongoing.
Electric Vehicle (EV) Infrastructure Grant for Staff and Fleets. Grants to support Small to Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in the UK with the costs of electric vehicle infrastructure and chargepoints on their business premises. Deadline: Ongoing
Community Learning Exchange, Scottish Community Alliance. Small pots of funding up to £1000 to build levels of mutual support across the Community Sector through peer to peer learning- the best way to test and develop new ideas is to learn from people already on the journey themselves! Ongoing.
The Southall Trust. Grants of between £1,000 and £5,000 for registered charities across the UK with an annual income of less than £1 million to deliver projects and activities focused on Quaker Work and Witness, Environmental Action and Sustainability, Peace and Reconciliation, or Social Action. Multi-year funding of up to three years may be available for charities the Trust has previously supported. Ongoing
Community Enterprise Fund. up to £5,000 towards start-up costs for community organisations to start trading or set up social enterprises in Scotland. Ongoing
Volunteering Matters – Action Earth. Grants up to £250 to support environmental projects that help urban communities to respond to our nature and climate crises. Activities should emphasise local nature enrichment and biodiversity improvements. Ongoing.
The Scottish Forestry Community Fund. Grants up tp £1,000 or more for groups and organisations that encourage people to use the woods through activities or being involved in woodland management. Ongoing.
Heritage fund. Funding between £10,000 and £250,000 to fund a broad range of projects that connect people and communities to the UK’s heritage, from historic buildings to nature and habitats. Larger grants also available. Ongoing.
The Robertson Trust. Funding between £5,000 and £20,000 per year up to 3 years for registered charities with an annual income of between £30,000 and £500,000. Ongoing
Electric Vehicle Chargepoint and Infrastructure Grant for Landlords. The Uk Government has available funding to install electric vehicle chargepoints as a landlord, social housing provider or property factor. Ongoing.
The National Lottery – Strengthening Organisations. Grants from £300 to £50,000, for up to 2 years, for organisations in Scotland currently funded by the national lottery. the fund is aimed at work with people affected by poverty, disadvantage or discrimination. Ongoing.
The Swire Charitable Trust. awards grants via three funding programmes: Opportunity, Environment and Heritage. There is no maximum or minimum grant size and they may award more or less than you applied for. Ongoing.
The Fore’s Funding Programme. Offers unrestricted grants of up to £30,000 spread over one to three years to small charities across the UK that are making a big impact and who want to significantly grow, strengthen, become more efficient or resilient. Ongoing.
The National Lottery Scottish Land Fund. Grants between £2,500 and £1 million for urban and rural communities to become more resilient and sustainable through the ownership and management of land, land assets, and buildings. Community-led organisations across Scotland can apply for funding to take ownership of land and buildings that matter to them. Ongoing.
National Lottery – community Action Fund. Funding from £20,000 to £250,000 for up to 5 years for projects that will help people connect more with each other. They are looking for projects that achieve at least two of these outcomes: build positive relationships, support people’s health or wellbeing, help people improve their access and connection to nature, make a positive difference to the environment. Scotland’s Heat Network Fund. Capital grants to businesses and organisations in the public, private and third sectors to develop heat network projects. It aims to support the roll-out of zero emission district heat networks and communal heating systems. Ongoing.
Material Focus – Electricals Recycling Fund. Grants up to £100,000 for projects that aim to grow or improve existing household waste and recycling collection services, and up to £50,000 for projects that aim to innovate or test new approaches to collect electricals for reuse and recycling. Ongoing.
AlpKit Foundation: £50 – £500: Support grass-roots direct action projects inc. participation, education conservation and protection of natural environment, and health & wellbeing. Ongoing.

Aviva Community Fund. The Aviva Community Fund supports projects that are fighting climate change and building stronger, more resilient communities across the UK and are investing in Climate Action and Financial Wellbeing. Ongoing.
The HDH Wills 1965 Charitable Trust. Small Grants of £1-2k to charities which focus on the conservation of wildlife and the environment. Ongoing.
Esmee Fairbairn Foundation. Grants from £30,000 for organisation’s core or project costs, including staff salaries and overheads. Aimed at organisations improving our natural world, secure a fairer future, and strengthen the bonds in communities in the UK. Ongoing.

Community Impact Fund: New initiative designed to support local community groups and charities committed to making a positive difference with a grant scheme of up to £1,000 per project to encourage and empower local organisations working in the fields of environment, sustainability, creativity, and addressing local problems. Fat Beehive Foundation. Grants up to £2500 for websites and digital products to small UK charities with a focus on applications from organisations working in the fields of Environmental Protection or climate change mitigation . Currently Closed.
Expanded Festivals Fund.£50,000 and £200,000 for programmes of activity between May 2026 and April 2028. It supports non-profit cultural festivals in Scotland with funding to enable innovation in programming and/or to showcase Scottish and Scotland-based artists and practitioners. Currently Closed.
Youth Arts Open Fund. Up to £15,000 to deliver high-quality, accessible arts activity for children and young people living in Scotland. Currently closed.
Woodland Trust – Free trees for schools and communities. They make two deliveries a year, with the next pack to be delivered by November 2025. Currently closed.
Rewilding Innovation Fund. Up to £15,000 for projects that aim to remove barriers to rewilding across Britain, whether your site or project is in the early planning stages or looking to try out a new approach. Currently closed.
SafeDeposits Scotland Community Fund. Grants of up to £5,000 are available to groups and organisations across Scotland to deliver a variety of projects and activities that benefit local communities. Currently closed.
The Joseph Rowntree Charitable Trust. Grants of no set amount are available for work in various areas, including focus on sustainable futures, better economics and amplifying marginalised voices. Currently closed.
CARES Community Energy Generation Growth Fund. Various amounts of support for different phases of project. The fund aims to help community organisations develop their own renewable energy projects, including wind and solar photovoltaic (PV) projects. Currently closed.
Tree Council – Branching Out. Branching Out provides grants ranging from £250 to £2,500 in value to community groups, schools, small registered charities, and Tree Warden Networks – with a quicker decision for those seeking funding below £500. Currently closed.
Riverwoods Development Grants. Grants between £5,000-£20,000 for projects with the aim of creating a network of river woodlands and healthy river systems throughout Scotland. Currently Closed.
The Fore National Funding. Unrestricted funding up to £45,000 over one to three years to strengthen your organisation internally and help it take the next step forwards in its growth or sustainability. Currently Closed.
The Tree Council and Scottish Power Energy Networks. Grants of between £2,500 and £10,000 are available to support well-planned, not-for-profit tree planting projects that will directly benefit people, communities and wildlife across Scotland, with a particular emphasis on the central and southern belt. Rewilding Challenge Fund Rewilding Challenge Fund is a £100,000 funding opportunity awarded by Rewilding Britain to one large-scale rewilding project every year, which shows the maximum potential to work with others to scale up rewilding on land and/or at sea. Next round will open in 2025.
Scottish & Southern Electricity Networks (SSEN): Grants between £1,000 and £20,000 for projects that help communities in SSEN service areas to become more resilient or to support the purchase and installation of low-carbon technologies that contribute towards achieving net-zero. Currently Closed.
Co-op Local Community Fund. Supports projects that enable people to access food, create opportunities for young people, improve people’s mental wellbeing, promote community cohesion, build sustainable futures. The Naturesave Trust. Supports environmental projects across the UK with focus on small projects for charities, social enterprises and grassroots community Grants up to £5,000. Current theme is nature connection. Currently Closed.
Tyne-Esk Rural Communities Development Fund: £5,000 up to £30,000 for capital projects (acquire, upgrade, and maintain physical assets such as property, plant, buildings, technology, or equipment). There is a small amount of revenue funding also available (up to £5,000 to cover every day operating and administration costs such as salaries, office costs, stationery, travel & subsistence). Carcant Wind Farm Community Benefit Fund (Moorfoot). Grants between £250-£1,500 from the Carcant Wind Farm Community Fund in Moorfoot, supporting projects benefiting those living in the Moorfoot Community Council area in Midlothian. The fund is provided by Greencoat UK Wind, the owners of the nearby Carcant Wind Farm. Currently Closed.
MCSFoundation. Grants up to £50,000 (inclusive of VAT) for projects of retrofit of domestic buildings in action through demonstrating or experimenting with methodologies in the real world and actively evaluating results, or research projects which aim to research a particular retrofit issue and better inform retrofit work in the future. Stephen Lloyd Awards. Aims to support early-stage projects aiming to achieve social or environmental change in the UK. Shortlisted candidates will be awarded up to £2,500 to develop their ideas and may also access expert guidance. Inspiring Scotland – Neighbourhood Ecosystem Fund. Grants up to £13,500 to help communities develop their ideas for ecosystem restoration into a pipeline of deliverable projects. Projects should focus on the development and feasibility stages of undertaking ecosystem restoration, rather than physical delivery. Currently closed.
Royal Countryside Fund’s New UK-Wide Grant Programme: Grants of up to £25,000 over a period of 24 months to deliver activities along the themes of: keeping young people in the countryside, powering up rural communities, increasing environmental sustainability, building emergency resilience in rural areas. Tree Council – Orchards for Schools. Schools can register for our Orchards for Schools grant and to receive their orchard and/ or hedgerow pack, an engaging set of supporting resources and training, designed by experts and teachers, that are linked to the national curriculum. Currently Closed.
Plugged-in communities grant fund. The plugged-in communities grant fund can cover 100% of costs, up to £75,000, to replace a community transport vehicle with a zero-emission alternative, to support community trips and services. Currently closed.

Kilburn & Strode Innovation for good Grant. Grants of £10,000, £20,000 and £30,000 available for activities that meet the Fund’s theme of ‘Innovation for good’ with an objective ‘through innovation, to sustainably provide benefit for those in need’. Currently Closed.
Local School Nature Grants – Learning Through Landscapes Small grants for outdoor learning in schools. Includes funding for outdoor equipment plus training for staff. The grant fund has two elements – £500 of outdoor equipment chosen from a catalogue of over 100 items, and an outdoor learning training course for your staff. Currently Closed.
